Don't come to the islands hoping for A/C. We actually had good cell signal everywhere. A terrace with garden views is offered in each unit. We were staying for almost 3 weeks at Methos' homestay and we do not regret it at all! It was wonderful!! Methos speaks English really well which helped a lot and so does his staff. The bungalows all have an amazing view, they're private and quiet (apart from the birds;)) and are very large and nicely furnished in comparison to other homestays on the islands. The house reef is also breathtaking and you can see dolphins and plankton glowing just from your veranda!

For those who desire a bit more, there is the Karkloof Canopy Tour, located 10km outside of Howick. The Karkloof Canopy Tour provides a zip line tour in the valley of the mist belt inside the Karkloof Forest Reserve. The canopy tour includes long swooping slides over the forest canopy, stops below a 15-metre-high waterfall and takes in wider views across the beautiful Karkloof valley.
