Hello friends, A few friends and I have been doing indoor climbing for a couple of months now and we are really enjoying it. Just now we came up with the idea to go for a long weekend of camping combined with our first attempt at outdoor climbing mixed with some hiking/swimming (in a lake or something, if possible)/starwatching at night with the telescope. So essentially a nice manly getaway from our daily lives. I was wondering if any of you have been on something similar in or around switzerland/austria/germany/belgium and would be willing to share your experience. We are not world class climbers (far from it, I am currently doing 6a/6b so I think that's around a V3 only? ) so we don't need to be challenged with these crazy V10+ in fontainebleu that are hitting the frontpage of this subreddit; locations with small, somewhat doable climbs are more than welcome. I'd very much appreciate any tips/ideas and most of all locations you guys might have experience with!

The township provides a general store, a petrol station, tea rooms and restaurants. Arthurs Pass is well known as a starting point for many excellent tramping tracks within the Arthurs Pass National Park.
